Environmental Impact Statement Preparation Notice

EIS Preparation Notice (EISPN) public comment period is now closed.

On June 8, 2024, an Environmental Impact Statement Preparation Notice (EISPN) for the Mākena Mauka project was published in the State of Hawaiʻi’s Office of Planning and Sustainable Development’s Environmental Review Program’s “The Environmental Notice”. This was the start of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) preparation process pursuant to Chapter 343, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes (HRS) and Title 11, Chapter 200.1, Hawaiʻi Administrative Rules (HAR). Written comments received during the 30-day public comment period and responses to substantive comments will be included in the Draft EIS.
