THE DEIS PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD IS NOW OPEN
On December 8, 2025, a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) was published in the State of Hawaiʻi’s Office of Planning and Sustainable Development’s Environmental Review Program’s “The Environmental Notice."
The DEIS public comment period will extend to 45 days from this publication date. The deadline for receipt of written comments regarding the potential environmental effects of the project is January 22, 2026. Written comments received during the 45-day public comment period and responses to substantive comments will be included in the publicly-available Final EIS along with any information provided pursuant to Chapter 343, HRS.
